Corsham Windband Association is a registered charity providing opportunities for children and young people in Corsham and the surrounding area of Wiltshire to learn an instrument, make music together and develop their skills and confidence.
Your support helps us keep music-making accessible to young people in Corsham and the surrounding area. Whether you choose to sponsor a child's music education, make a one-off donation or support us with a regular gift, every contribution helps us continue our work.
Help us make music accessible to young people
Corsham Windband Association has been helping young people discover the enjoyment of making music together for more than 45 years. As a registered charity, we rely on donations and the generosity of our supporters to help us:
- give children and young people opportunities to learn and play a musical instrument;
- provide affordable membership, tuition and instrument hire;
- develop musical skills and encourage high standards of performance;
- create opportunities to rehearse, perform and make friends through music; and
- support children who might otherwise be unable to access these opportunities.
Sponsor a child's music education
Learning an instrument can give a child much more than musical skills. It offers the experience of playing as part of a group, performing in front of an audience, developing confidence and making friendships that can last for years.
CWA is seeking sponsors to help children who are eligible for Free School Meals, as assessed by their schools, take part in our musical activities.
- £10 a month can provide membership and instrument hire for one child
- £20 a month can provide membership and instrument hire for two children.
- £30 a month can provide membership, instrument hire and music lessons for one child.
Sponsors can see the difference their support makes by attending CWA concerts and events, while the identity and privacy of the children receiving support are always protected.
You will also be able to get tax relief by using our JustGiving donation page, as CWA is a registered charity.
What your support makes possible
Donations to Corsham Windband Association help us provide music tuition, instruments and ensemble opportunities for young people in Corsham and the surrounding area. They also help us organise rehearsals, workshops, concerts and other activities where young musicians can develop their skills and experience the enjoyment of performing together.
